The Belhaven University theatre department presented “A Doll’s House“ on October 22-24 and 28-31 of 2009. Set in Victorian Norway, the play centers around a secret that threatens to destroy the thin veneer of marriage between Nora and Torvald, the leading couple. Hailed by many as Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s most famous play, “A Doll’s House“ examines what makes—or breaks—a marriage. Former faculty member Dr. Louis H Campbell directed this stylish production of Ibsen’s groundbreaking 1879 play.
