Personally, I am hardly a fan of the word “best” and the dirty job of picking the tracks that have characterised our career better than others has truly been a nightmare. The past three decades of Rotting Christ have left me having to choose from over 150 songs across the 13 albums that we released during this period. The horror of leaving pieces behind that I have always considered to be as important for the band’s history as the pieces we have ultimately chosen is hard to describe, but finally I came up with a list of 34 essential songs. Those tracks span all incarnations and phases of Rotting Christ from our emergence as pioneering newcomers in the 80’s, and we still have important things to say today after all these years. We strongly believe that we are keeping the flame burning and sincerely hope that you share that faith. Brothers and sisters, here you will find our greatest spells.
