Restoration Antique Chisel

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. I found this old rusty antique chisel at a flea market. I never saw before this tool. As said seller, it’s really old chisel. Well, I bought it. After washing and oiling. Then I used a wire steel brush to remove dark color. After, I checked the surface of it, and I was glad, because there were no cracks and holes. I re-sharpened the chisel. The steel hoop of chisel, I restored also. Handle I made on wood lathe, from a piece of ash tree. I made a test for you. But I’m not sure how to use this kind of chisel. Maybe it’s some special work?
