Niger Unsettled Europe by Terminating This 8-Year Agreement
The Niger government has just handed the European Union a huge blow. Following the rise of the military junta to power in Niger in July, the European Union, along with France, and others, took the drastic measure of indefinitely suspending all aid to the country. In addition, they imposed sanctions on the junta members, urging for the reinstatement of ousted President Muhammad Bazoum. But little did Europe know that Niger had its own strategies in play to retaliate.
