Snappy Snaps! (1930)

Story about Stock Whip Cracking in Australia. C/U of two men holding stock whips and talking. Three genteel women stand with a parasol to watch the demonstration. In an outback setting the man - wearing big jodhpurs - whirls the whip around his head. C/U of the man who looks pretty ridiculous as he stands legs akimbo with a hand on his hip flinging the whip around. A colleague holds a piece of paper out and the expert uses his whip to knock it out of his hand. We see him whip a gun out of the other man’s hand in slow motion. He then catches the man around his ankles and pulls him over! The assistant stands blindfolded with a cigar in his mouth and the whip cracker knocks a cigar out of his mouth. “Here is a trick specially to keep mothers-in-law in order.“ A woman is blindfolded and our stunt man flexes his whip then catches the woman around the neck - looks scary and painful! She turns to face the camera, undoes her blindfold and undoes the whip. This is quite nice quirky stuff.
