Mother Dog Tries to Protect 4 Puppies Buried in Mud, She Doubts Human Kindness In the middle of a busy street, suddenly, a faint sound of whining could be heard coming from a nearby ditch. Christian Joshuapale stopped to investigate and found a mother dog and her four puppies buried under mud and debris. They were less than a week old, weak and struggling to breathe. The mother dog was fiercely protective of her puppies, and she was growling and barking at anyone who approached. The rescuers had to be careful not to agitate her further as they worked to extract the dogs from the ditch. The little ones were covered in mud and barely breathing, but the rescuers did not give up. After nearly 10 minutes, the rescue force caught the mother dog and temporarily put her in the car.
