Blind Date: While he was nearly a household name on TV thanks to Moonlighting, the Blake Edwards comedy Blind Date is what proved Bruce Willis could carry a movie, paving his way for Die Hard. Silverado: Nearly forty years after making his cowboy debut in Silverado, Kevin Costner is still making westerns, with TV’s Yellowstone and his upcoming western epic, Horizon. He first made an impact in this star-studded western that assembled one of the best casts of the 80s but only played to middling box office. Next of Kin: With the Road House remake coming, the late Patrick Swayze is having a renaissance in terms of his screen work. While Next of Kin isn’t up there with Point Break, Dirty Dancing or Road House, it’s still a solid early role for a guy who never got the credit he was due when he was alive.
