Leon, Nicaragua || The City of Churches (Travel Vlog)

Leon was our first stop in Nicaragua as we crossed the border from Honduras. We arrived at night, but when we awoke in the morning, we were stunned by the perfectly shaped volcanoes that surrounded the colonial city, founded in the 1500s. Known as the city of churches, Leon seems to have a church on just about every block and is also home to the largest cathedral in Central America. We spent the day wandering the colorful streets, admiring these antique churches, cafe hopping, and finished with a purple sunset from the white roof of the Basilica.
