Doctor Who Series 1 & 2 Soundtrack - 27 Doomsday

The third melody in Melanie Pappenheim’s trilogy book-ended the two series. It was first heard when Rose entered the TARDIS in Series 1, but this version appeared at the end of ’Doomsday’. Billie Piper helped new viewers get into Doctor Who and her performance made writing music much easier. Even in the middle of Winter, she was a bright warm sun on the screen. I was in bits at the beach scene and got so fed up with keeping it a secret that I had to play it to my dad. Sorry Phil. The bass guitar on this version is my trusty Fender Jazz. - Murray Gold
