Westarctica : 20 Years on Ice

Westarctica was founded in 2001 and in 2021, we celebrated 20 years of sovereignty. Although Westarctica is not recognized as a country by most world governments, that hasn’t stopped its citizens from creating a community devoted to environmental activism. Over the past 20 years, we have grown from one guy with delusions of grandeur to over 2,300 people working together to preserve the fragile ecology of Western Antarctica.
