Number 27. Gavotte. From 50 Graded Studies for Recorder. Sally Adams and Paul Harris. I’m posting one of these studies every week. The challenges in this study include making it sound like a dance whilst making it legato. Also breathing is difficult. I slowed down and had a bit of a breather towards the end of the middle section rather than snatching a breath which wouldn’t have sounded very good. I’d have had to take a very quick breath if playing with others. My teacher doesn’t live nearby so I’ll only have occasional lessons. Constructive criticism welcome. I sit as i do due to physical disability. Thank you. Michael
