Through the power of contemporary dance we witness a subtle performance exploding into a beautifully awkward montage of abstract movement. V V states “ I wanted to show a steady acceleration of movement showcasing Black British pride. The simplicity of walking to camera was deliberate leading to an explosion of movement which represents the shedding of our traumas and difficulties as we navigate through a society that has not often been so kind to us.” The music videos is a moment where one can feel the intention of an individual standing strong in their identity as it beautifully displays the unapologetic celebration of the beautiful but complex experience of Black British individuals.
