◾On this day, the cries of the Gazan child, Huda Ghalia, 11 years old, echoed around the world after the killing of her family by the Israeli air forces on the beach of Beit Lahiya in Gaza in 2006. ◾Huda’s life was turned upside down when she witnessed the killing of her father and five of her siblings by a shell from an Israeli barge that targeted them while they were on a family trip to the beach. ◾A few years later, one of her sisters and her husband were killed during the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2008-2009, adding a new page to their tragic story. ◾In the months that followed the incident, human rights centers documented the testimonies of Huda and the rest of her surviving family in their reports.
