• Unofficial Music Video • HD • HQ Audio • Subtitle Lyrics Option • How the Grinch Stole Christmas, 2000 • Standard Volume Level • Lyrics Transcript Provided Below • This video contains optional subtitles for the lyrics, and these can be activated and deactivated by simply clicking on the “CC“ button beneath the video. What you are seeing here is a clip from the 2000 American Christmas fantasy comedy film “How the Grinch Stole Christmas“, directed by Ron Howard, but that is not what you are hearing. What you are hearing is the audio track of this song from the soundtrack album for the film, which is credited to James Horner. The source video I used to create this one is here: That was the best-quality upload of this clip that I could find online. Replacing the audio track involved slowing down the footage quite a lot, as it was running quite fast compared to the HQ audio track I am using. To accompany the beginning and ending of the track, I have put up on screen pictures of the soundtrack album. Finally, I have also added optional subtitles for the lyrics. This song was written by James Horner (music) and Will Jennings (lyrics). This track was produced by James Horner and Simon Rhodes, and was released in 2000. It was not released as a single, it was only released as a track on the soundtrack album, however, a different version of the song, titled “Where Are You Christmas?“, which includes a songwriting contribution from Mariah Carey and features Faith Hill on lead vocals, was released as a single, and according to Wikipedia, it reached No. 35 in the Netherlands, No. 38 in Canada, and No. 65 in the USA. I have been unable to find out how the soundtrack album performed in the album charts. For more information on this song and track, see these pages: ? (2000_film)#Soundtrack I currently have one other video which features a song co-written by Will Jennings, and it’s this: Steve Winwood : “Back In The High Life Again“ (Album Version) (1986) • Unofficial Music Video I have not been able to find an official presentation of the lyrics to this song. Presented below and as optional subtitles in the video is my own transcript of the lyrics, for which I have used the transcripts found on lyrics websites as a guide. Lyrics: “Christmas, Why Can’t I Find You?“ - Taylor Momsen (Words by Will Jennings, Music by James Horner) Where are you, Christmas? Why can’t I find you? Why have you gone away? My world is changing I’m rearranging Does that mean Christmas changes too? Where are you, Christmas? Do you remember The girl you used to know? You and I were so carefree Now, nothing’s easy Did Christmas change Or just Me?
