Zoom G5n: Updating the Firmware

The G5n firmware update will allow compatibility with Zoom Guitar Lab 3.0, along with numerous new features and improvements. First, open your browser, and navigate to . Click on the Support Downloads tab on the top right of the screen. Scroll down to “Guitar” and select the G5n. Download the latest firmware version under “Software”. With your G5n powered OFF, connect it to your computer using a USB cable. While pressing and holding down footswitch 1 and footswitch 2, power on your G5n. On your computer, launch the system updater application. Once open, select “USB MIDI Device” or “Zoom G Series” for both MIDI IN and MIDI OUT, then select Execute.
