Scott Hamilton and Olaf Polziehn: the duo of marvels! Hamilton is the most prominent living mainstream saxophonist. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1954, Hamilton established himself early on the USA jazz scene, for his beautiful sound and impeccable phrasing, evoking admiration from devotees of this style of music. His first recorded work, released in 1977 on Concord Label, is called “Scott Hamilton is A Good Wind Who Is Blowing Us N.1“ and takes its name from an outstanding recording of Leonard Feather. But it is only the first of a memorable series of about 30 albums. Scott is highlighted playing in a variety of contexts, from small group to string orchestra, in collaboration with musicians like Ruby Braff a
