Sirens sound across Kyiv as Russia launches air strikes

Russia has launched a series of air attacks targeting critical infrastructure in Kyiv and western Ukraine, with one cruise missile breaching Polish airspace. Millions of Ukrainians have been left without electricity over recent days in what officials in Kyiv described as the war’s biggest assaults on energy supplies. During Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning, Russia fired 29 missiles and 28 Shahed drones across eight regions in the west, centre, north, and south of Ukraine, air defence officials said.
