15 Minute Oil Painting Portrait Walkthrough

This video features a longer discussion of my portrait painting process. I have a quite a few short time lapses where I just talk for a few minutes, and even have a real time live session ( that’s over an hour. But I didn’t really have anything in between - a medium length session, not quite as bulky as real time, but also not super fast. This portrait is a head-and-shoulders oil painting session which I tried to cut as much empty space from as possible (hopefully leaving almost entirely brush strokes). 💻For more artwork by Jon Amdall, check out Amdall Gallery at or on Instagram at Materials Used: 🖼️ Paper: 🖌️ Brush Set: 🎨 Gamblin Paints: 🎨 Utrecht Paints: 📷 Tripod: 🦾 Adjustable arm: Colors Used: ⬛️ Raw Umber (Gamblin 1980) ⬜️ Titanium White (Utrecht Studio) 🟨 Yellow Ochre (Gamblin 1980) 🟥 Cadmium Red Hue (Utrecht Studio) 🟥 Alizarin Crimson (Utrecht Studio) 🟧 Blush (Gamblin 1980) 🟫 Burnt Umber (Utrecht Studio) 🟫 Burnt Sienna (Utrecht Studio) 🟦 Ultramarine Blue (Utrecht Studio) 🎨 Blick Oil Paints: This video has no sponsorship or paid endorsement from any products or devices referenced.
