I sure hope y’all like this one! Not really sure where to begin to be honest uh... This project was incredibly difficult to get together, not because of the actual animation or anything, but because the technical errors that happened through out. Firstly, my painting software I use to make backgrounds, Medibang Paint thought that it’d be a WONDERFUL idea to create a new plan for exporting and saving my drawings, which ended up with all of my previous works (including the background for this project) now completely erased from my device! So that was fun to deal with! Luckily I was able to salvage some of them and the ending product still looked pretty good. AND THEN Flipaclip decided it was time to get rid of some previous projects to make room for more storage :D so I could no longer access my previous files (anything before got corrupted and so I couldn’t go back to edit them or replay them) Luckily they had already been exported into videos so I was still able to piece them together. Still a spectacular pain in the backside though. YET DESPITE ALL THAT We kept up our determination, went through pain and suffering and IT PAID OFF! I’ve never animated fire before this. I’m pretty damn happy with that lmao Also I’d like to just shine some light on another animator that needs absolutely no introduction because practically everyone in the warriors community know who they are: Nifty Senpai! To speed up the background process I took a lot of inspiration from their backgrounds in the Fourth Apprentice, particularly for the thunderclan camp. You can see that here: Without that I’d truly be lost haha. Aight so with all that out of the way I can talk about the content of this. Ashfur is a great warriors villain, because he has different motive to most of the other villains. With cats like Tigerstar, Brokenstar, Hawkfrost and Thistleclaw...? (we don’t talk about Spottedleafs heart) all doing their evil deeds out of ambition for power, Ashfur never wanted that. He just wanted Squirrelflight, and when that didn’t work out, he wanted her to suffer! I love his alliance with Hawkfrost as well. I can just imagine the meeting being similar to the Hawkeye and Black widow “you shouldn’t be here“ “neither should you“ at the lake lmao. Also I loved his arc in the power of three series and that fire scene still gives me shivers. Damn power of three had really good antagonists despite how goddamn slow it is SPOILER TERRITORY FOR THE BROKEN CODE Then we saw him AGAIN in the broken code. I’ll be honest, when I found out that the imposter was Ashfur, I was.... kind of disappointed...? I mean, everyone called it and idk a deep side of me wanted the Erin’s to just prove everyone wrong and pull out another villain or something I don’t know haha. But the more I found out, the more I loved it. It made Ashfur into an already amazing villain into probably one of the best villains warriors has to offer! I mean it took another cat we shall not name in case of spoilers to literally sacrifice themselves in order to get rid of him! THAT is a problematic cat! Fun Fact: The song I used, The Killing Kind is actually much much longer than this. It’s about 6 minutes in total and to be honest, this project already took 2 months I don’t wanna add to it and potentially worsen it I’m happy the way it is. But if I was to carry on and do the whole song, I would TOTALLY add Ashfur possessing Bramblestar and all the chaos that happens in the Broken code. The only reason I didn’t dedicate the song to prominently the broken code is because I actually haven’t read any of the books, I’m just going off what the fandom has been saying. For me to make an AMV on it would be inconsistent. If you’re reading down this far, I just want to say that I can’t thank you enough for being her to support my channel. To get to 2 thousand subscribers is absolutely insane and it still feels like such an amazing dream to me.
