The Mod 4 from Aledo, Illinois with their original tune “A Puppet“ recorded at Fredlo Recording Studios in Davenport, IA in the late spring of 1968. The group, billed as the youngest all-girl combo in the country, consisted of Alice Appleton (organ), Nellie Hastings (lead guitar), Barb Stutsman (bass guitar) and Kathy Talkin (drums).
