A New Underpainting Technique with InkTense Blocks / Pastel Painting Tutorial

Join me in this pastel painting tutorial as I share a new technique for creating an underpainting with Derwent InkTense Blocks (link for product below). While I have used InkTense Blocks for underpaintings before, I have never broken down the large shapes of my reference image in this way and I thought others might like to try. Here are the Steps: 1. The Underpainting was created on un-sanded Canson Mix Media paper. 2. Product applied to add grit to surface: 2 Parts Clear Liquid Gesso / 1 part Marble Dust (but you can use just the clear gesso).
