First part of story missing. Intertitle reads “... then swiftly follows the dread news of loss of ill-fated M-2 with her complement of 54.“ (Earlier Library footage) Sailors walk along the hull of the M2 submarine as it floats at sea. Closer shot of the conning tower (M 2 sign clearly showing). A small motor launch is berthed alongside the submarine. The launch pulls away from the sub and officers on board salute. Intertitle reads: “Every resource in the Navy was quickly mobilised, and on the scene in the grim fight against time.
