Full title reads: “Rushmoor Arena. A thrill for every British heart at this year’s ’better-than-ever’ Aldershot Tattoo, will be the ’March of the 1,000 Bandsmen’ ...“ Rushmoor Arena, Aldershot, Hampshire. British army bandsmen march across open field. They have with them their mascot - either a ram or a goat. High angle shot showing the large scale of the massed bands. They put on a great display of drill and musicianship. Shot of bandsmen (mainly woodwind players) marching. High angle shot of the marching display in the arena. Intertitle reads: “... and whose heart will not beat a little faster - at this sight of the many ’Colours’ escorted by colour parties garbed as they were, when they were so gloriously won!“ Soldiers dressed in uniforms from various historic periods march slowly forward carrying the flags or colours of regiments under the Aldershot command.
