Save 15 to 20% of the world water consumption: Dry Rice intercropping- iRice
Farmers can save 15 to 20% of the world water consumption with Dry Rice intercropping: iRice. Based on the very sucessful SRI-System of Rice intensification (from Madagascar, long term research and promotion by Cornell University, USA) we introduced beans into the culture. It did not only get the nitogen for free by the legume beans (provided the soil is living and has Molybdenum), but it turned out that less weeding is the final gamechanger.
Many governments are banning industrial nitrogen-fertilizers, with many good reasons. But you can’t simply prohibit it, there needs to be training into Regenerative Agriculture and among that - iRice. Dr. Tavseef Shah has developed the system and there is a presentation in
Please share this knowlege with farmers. Their very existense may be secured by this agro-ecological, organic system. And - reduce the water footpring of humanity dramatically!
