Thousands protest against German coronavirus measures

Thousands of protesters took to the streets in the north-eastern city of Rostock in Germany on Monday calling for an end to restrictions against the unvaccinated. A large police presence accompanied the demonstration which remained peaceful. Protests have begun taking place across Germany every Monday as the government drive to contain the Omicron virus continues. In Rostock a small group of counter demonstrators held signs reading: ’Masks in, Nazis out’.
