U.S. AIR FORCE SILENT FOOTAGE F-86 SABRE JET TRAINER, F-100 SUPER SABRE JET FIGHTERS 60264

This silent roll of footage or “B-roll“ from the U.S. Air Force Recruiting Service features images of various aircraft. This includes the transonic North American F-86 Sabre trainer (two seat aircraft) (:19), and the supersonic North American F-100 Super Sabre (1:24). This aircraft FW-754 was apparently the prototype F-100. At (2:44) another F-86 is shown, this one not a trainer but the standard fighter configuration. At (3:54), Sabre jet pilots are shown. At (4:52), another F-100 is shown, fuselage FW-757. The aircraft takes off and makes low passes and attack runs over the camera. At (6:19) is a brief shot of Los Angeles City Hall, followed by the airplane coming in for a landing. The film ends with a shot of an F-86D Sabre on the ground.
