The Indigenous People of Canada have been facing injustices and ridicule since we encroached on their land hundreds of years ago. With the recent & ongoing discoveries being unearthed at residential school sites across Canada, we wanted to speak up, show our support and stand in solidarity with our First Nations people. This song is a stark reminder that these atrocities happened and the fallout will not just dissipate. We haven’t forgotten. To do this right, we worked exclusively with Indigenous music video directors & editors to allow them to tell their story and speak their truths. We are here to scream alongside them as they seek answers and accountability. We want to give a huge shout-out and thank you to Á’a:líya Warbus and her team at Salish Legends Media for doing this with us and telling their narrative through this gorgeously shot video. Special thanks as well to Julian Morgan for helping to organize and for taking the single art picture. Net profits (after production and shipping costs) made from the “Restless” merch drop will be donated to Indian Residential School Survivors Society. Mixed by Ty Kingston: Lyrics: One by one you let the dominoes fall Single file, bring them in Sought out to reform them all “These savages will have to learn this the hard way Pray to our god or find yourselves in a mass grave Get in line! Get in Line! Get in Line! Meet my radicalized vision of mankind! I am the shepherd who brought the sheep to slaughter I am a wolf disguised as a martyr I am the shepherd who brought the sheep to slaughter I am a wolf disguised as a martyr Born into pestilence I see you all as lesser than Based on your beliefs and pigmentation of your skin You’re all the devil’s children And god will be thy name I’m here to rid you of your sins I’ll set your world ablaze” Ashes rain… Down on their nameless graves Never to be seen again Where the **** are they now!? Tears will fall where cathedrals still remain We’re still finding them We won’t stop finding them But we remain complacent in these archaic ways Our vision is clouded, ingrained into our society Innocent youth, buried six feet deep We close our blind eyes and slowly fall asleep while They lay restlessly
