Bye Bye Blondie (2011)

dir. Virginie Despentes Gloria and Frances first met in a psychiatric clinic in the 1980s. At the time, they were both young women, barely out of adolescence. Struggling to get through to the same emotional crises brought on by an unhappy experience in love and overuse of drugs, they forged a strong bond built on similar passions and unrestrained attraction, but, after having a short time together out of the hospital, they break up and go their separete ways into very different lives. Gloria is now 40 and lives alone, spending most of her days in a bar, with no job or fixed home. Frances, by contrast, has it made; she’s the host of a popular television show and lives in Paris with her husband Claude, a best-selling author. To the outside world, Frances and Claude are a model couple, but their marriage is a lavander one: they are both very much gay. But once Frances suddenly decides to look up her old flame (and perhaps rekindle their intense relationship), the lives of everyone involved will change drastically.
