Sony A7SIII Firmware 2.0 S-Cinetone 4K Video Test

Sony A7SIII Firmware 2.0 S-Cinetone 4K Video Test Sony just dropped out the latest firmware update 2.0 for the A7SIII. I was very surprised they put the S-Cinetone picture profile with that update. Because S-Cinetone is often found on Sony Cinema cameras. But they never brought it to the A7 series. And I thought the only way to get that picture profile was to buy the FX3. But we didn’t have to. Thanks to Sony. So in this video test, I did not colour grade any of my shots at all. It was straight out from the camera. The only thing I did was adding little bit of the contrast. And that’s it. So in my opinion, the S-Cinetone has way better colour than the standard PP1 profile. And the colour looks a lot more natural/ But the dynamic range is not as good as the S-Log and HLG profiles ofcoz. So you just have to decide what you prefer. I think if you do a lot of commercials.
