KOSOVO: RICHARD HOLBROOKE VISIT: PRESS CONFERENCE

(30 Aug 1999) English/Nat A United States senator touring the Balkans has said if the Kosovo Liberation Army (K-L-A) doesn’t stick to the disarmament schedule, U-S aid to the region may dry up. The ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Joseph Biden made it clear that the K-L-A must cease to exist as an armed force by the September 19th deadline.
