Japanese Pork Soup (豚汁 - Tonjiru)

Tonjiru (also known as Butajiru) is an easy Japanese Pork Soup that’s made with pork and loads of vegetables, making it a one-pot meal that comes together from odds and ends in the fridge. It’s often known as “Midnight Diner Soup” outside of Japan because of its prominent role in the opening credits of the series, but it’s also shown up in The Makanai, and within Japan, Tonjiru is synonymous with a comforting home cooked meal.
