Ant and Dec break millions of hearts as they announce their departure from Saturday Night Takeaway

The popular TV duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have announced that they will take a break from their hit show Saturday Night Takeaway after the 2024 series. The show, which has been running since 2002, features comedy sketches, pranks, games and celebrity guests. Ant and Dec said that they wanted to pause for a while after reaching the “milestone” of 20 series. They added that they still have a “momentous” 20th series to look forward to and that they will try to go out with a bang. Saturday Night Takeaway has been one of the most successful and award-winning shows on ITV, attracting millions of viewers and earning multiple Bafta and National Television Awards for the hosts.
