Veteran animator Don Bluth produced this animated sequence and based it on the famous fairy tale by the Grimm Brothers. The popular band The Scissors Sisters commissioned the animator for their music video “Mary“. They hired Bluth for the job as they had fond memories of the animated sequence that he had produced for the musical Xanadu starring Olivia Newton John and Gene Kelly (1980).
