Tracklist below | The Rest were an alternative rock group from Naples consisting of Ciro Fattorusso, Enzo Fattorusso and Renato Caponcelli. The band released this one cassette album only and a few other tracks on different underground compilations in Italy. Their material was published by the Naples label Energeia that was run by Davide Morgera (drummer for Underage a cult hardcore punk band from Naples) and Antonio Escalona. The Rest sounds like the Italian version of 39 Clocks (from Germany), creating a dark lo-fi Velvet Underground infused shoegaze sound on top of pulsating drum machine patterns. The music is reminiscent of Loop, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Killing Joke as well as Suicide. Also the band covers the Suicide track ’Rocket USA’ on this release, just like Loop did.
