Here Comes The Bride (1937)

Full title reads: “Here Comes the Bride!“ A traditional wedding in Ebensee, Austria. Picturesque panning shot of town beside lake with mountains in distance. Panning shot of a wedding procession, led by fiddlers and a cellist. The bride, groom and guests are in traditional costume. The procession passes the lake just as a riverboat is passing. The men in the procession whoop, yelp and wave their hats. M/S of bride, groom and guests sitting outside, around a long wooden table. The guests toast the happy couple with glasses of beer (narrator jokes; “and there’s no time like the peasant!“). Various shots of couples of all ages waltzing around an outdoor wooden dance platform. All wear traditional costumes - lederhosen and billowing skirts. Various shots of the wedding party celebrating marriage at the fairground, we see them on the chair-swing. Atmosphere is very upbeat and happy. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
