Suspect Gets Shot After Pointing a Shotgun Toward Law Enforcement

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Rochester, N.Y — On March 20, 2023, a man, identified as 35-year-old Brendon Burns, was seen Monday morning driving a vehicle potentially linked to two other shootings and pulled out a “hunting-style” knife when confronted by officers around 1:00 p.m.. Investigators say Burns threatened deputies with the knife and ran. Deputies fired at least one shot as Burns ran, with officers and deputies chasing him through several yard into a backyard on Barrington Street. Police said that’s when Burns displayed a shotgun and refused orders to drop it, prompting officers and deputies to shoot him. Officers and Deputies performed life-saving measures at the scene; however, the male was deceased. No one else was injured during this incident.
