Watch live as SpaceX test fires a Falcon 9 ahead of the first private flight to the space station

Watch live SpaceX test fires a Falcon 9 rocket at pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. Ignition of the rocket appears to be scheduled for 2pm EDT (1800 GMT). The firing will last less than 10 seconds. The rocket will carry the first all-private crew to the International Space Station. Liftoff is currently scheduled for Friday. The commercial mission, managed by Axiom Space, will be commanded by former NASA astronaut Michael López-Alegría. Paying passengers Larry Connor, Mark Pathy, and Eytan Stibbe will also be on-board for the 10-day mission to the International Space Station.
