Kenyan Cult Leader Charged With 191 Murder Counts Cult leader Paul Nthenge Mackenzie and his suspected accomplices have filed a plea after they were charged with murder over the deaths of 191 children, whose bodies were exhumed from Shakahola forest in eastern Kenya last year. Mackenzie is accused of encouraging followers to staver to death “to meet Jesus“, but he and 94 accomplices pleaded not guilty to manslaughter a fortnight ago according to court documents.
