One of the toughest stress tests for any crossbow is to leave it cocked for long periods of time. There is a lot of stress and pressure placed on the limbs and trigger mechanism when the crossbow is cocked. Excalibur Crossbows are designed to handle that stress and pressure, but we wanted to see just how much it would take.
So, we cocked our Excalibur Crossbow and left it outside in the elements for 2 weeks. It was exposed to rain, snow, freezing and thawing, under full load.
Many crossbow manufacturers recommend that you uncock your crossbow every 3-4 hours. This can be a problem when you’re sitting in your tree stand, but the Excalibur Crossbow recurve limbset is designed to be tough enough to withstand being under full load for a long period of time. That gives you the confidence and assurance that, no matter how long your hunt might last, your Excalibur Crossbow will still perform.
Excalibur Crossbows are simply tough.
