How to make paper PARROT 🦜| Blue and gold MACAW | DIY paper mache crafts

Hello! In this video I’m making paper mache blue and gold macaw. It’s base is made of newspapers. Wire is used to connect legs and make claws. I made head a little bigger then it should be. So if you’re going to make a parrot yourself use real parrots photos as a reference, not mine. Feathers are made of colorful paper. Some parts I hand painted by myself with acrylic paint. Eyes are made using half pearls. I used nail polish and acrylic paint for coloring and coted with ’glossy accents’ medium. TIP: Before you start to glue feathers you should check parrots balance. If it is falling (because upper body is much heavier then the bottom) then you can cut off some layers in the back and take out some newspaper near the head to made upper body lighter.
