Veteran Explains Iraq Wasn’t A Mistake; It Was A Lie Based On ’A New World Order’

Watch the full chat here () Anti-war veteran Matthew Hoh, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, before resigning from his post in Afghanistan with the State Department, explains that the Iraq War wasn’t based on faulty intelligence. It was based on lies. He also considers George Bush and his cohort a bunch of lying sociopaths. It’s not that they got the intelligence wrong; they lied. And in the case of George Bush, they even joked about it. Matt and Katie react to the disgusting joke, to Bush’s Freudian slip about Russia and Iraq, and to Bush spokesman Ari Fleisher’s impressive lie, which he maintained years after Bush had already admitted Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Matt also explains how the plans to invade Iraq were made long before 9/11 happened and was planned by the Project For The American Century. 0:00 Bush confuses Iraq & Russia 0:26 Bush jokes about WMDs 1:48 Journalists sold war 2:08 Bush is a sociopath 3:21 Pre 9/11 planning of Iraq invasion 8:28 Ari Fleischer lying in 2006 10:50 Access journalism 11:51 Iraq a lie, not a mistake Prior to his assignment in Afghanistan, Matthew took part in the American occupation of Iraq; first in 2004-5 in Salah ad Din Province with a State Department reconstruction and governance team and then in 2006-7 in Anbar Province as a Marine Corps company commander.
