Crusader Song - God Beþ Mid Us (Early Middle English)

Here is a song I wrote and performed in Early Middle English about the Siege of Lisbon during the Reconquista/Second Crusade, from the perspective of one of the English crusaders that fought there. It’s based roughly around the 12th Century text, “De expugnatione Lyxbonensi” (The Capture of Lisbon), written in Latin by Osbert of Bawdsey, an eye-witness of the siege. I hope you enjoy.
