🇮🇷 Today, explosions occurred in Kerman during a procession commemorating the death of Commander-in-Chief Qasem Soleimani on January 3, 2020. The mausoleum of the Iranian general is located in Kerman. Initially, it was reported that gas cylinders had exploded. However, the city administration later declared that the incident was a terrorist attack. The perpetrator detonated explosive devices in a crowd of people. According to the latest information, the death toll among Kerman residents has already surpassed 80 people. Over 170 citizens sustained injuries of varying severity. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and security forces are operating in full readiness. Unfortunately, despite the measures taken, security services in Iran still do not have control over the situation. Time and again, terrorists manage to strike first, targeting places such as mosques and banks. Now, they have targeted a funeral procession. No one has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack yet. However, considering previous attacks, it is highly likely that rebels from the Islamic State were involved. Striking at the “heart“ of the Iranian nation with the aim of causing maximum civilian casualties aligns with their modus operandi. Taking into account the recent attack in Beirut, events in the Middle East are becoming increasingly unstable. It is probable that the Iranians, as well as their proxies, will respond in some way. #Iran #terrorism Источник: Rybar in English
