This is what I think it might’ve sounded like had the Fab Four ever recorded it. The Billy J. Kramer version uses an E major during the verses, but there’s a lesser known version by Chad & Jeremy that uses an Em. I personally think McCartney would’ve wrote the song with a minor chord here, but we’ll never know what’s “correct“ unless an original demo from McCartney ever surfaces :) I use a minor in my version, except for the turnaround at the end, which I kinda just threw together.
