Rio da Prata - karst river system

Another of the clear-water karst rivers of the Bodoquena highlands, in Matogrosso do Sul, western Brazil. On the day of filming there was a lot of suspended particulates in the water due to recent rains, but even so, visibility was good and the increased amount of food in the water attracted huge shoals of small characins, such as Jupiaba acanthogaster and accompanying predators such as the pike cichlid, Crenicichla vittata.
