Watching a mountain bike on a smart connected dashboard

CAD supplier PTC outfitted a Santa Cruz mountain bike with sensors that connect to an NI myRIO system which measures such parameters as fork travel, wheel speed, and steering angle. The data gets beamed to the PTC ThingWorx platform in the cloud to create a digital twin of the bike that displays in real time on an iPad or similar platform. That gives rise to some interesting possibilities, as explained in this short video with Andy Timm from Kalypso, PTC’s Windchill management consulting firm.
