Jordan’s King Abdullah II ‘prepared for conflict’ if holy sites are threatened

In an interview with CNN, Jordan’s King Abdullah II says he is prepared for conflict should the status quo of Jerusalem’s holy sites change. The interview comes as Israel prepares to swear in the most right-wing government in the country’s history. Israel’s incoming national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir will be in charge of the force that controls Jerusalem’s holy sites and has openly called for changing the existing arrangements.
