Oil Painting Faces: Steps for Beginners

This video breaks down my portrait painting process in oil into five steps that beginners can use to paint faces more easily and effectively. The five steps I talk about are: 1. Pick good reference -- not shown 2. Start with a clear drawing -- 0:00 3. Block in your shadow shapes with a simple earth tone -- 0:20 4. Introduce big shapes of color -- 1:40 5.
