North India: ((REAL)) Traditional Snake Charming Music

Recorded and posted with permission by Michael Balonek near Sapera Basti, Haridwar region, North India, September 2010. A traditional tune that is used in drawing out snakes from the jungles. The instrument is called a “been,“ and is made from a gourd. From the video you cannot tell, but when the ACTUAL “been“ like this one is being played, you could FEEL the bass reverberating around you, and people from far away came to their windows to watch & see what was happening.
