In part 3/4 of the “creating fur“ tutorial series, we’ll be working on textures and I’ll go through a method to transfer your texture to a geometry node based hair system.
With this tutorial series, I hope to give you the tips & tricks to create your own desired animal fur just like I did with our fella Merry in this tutorial.
You can find the result as an asset within the Blender Universe asset library for free for a limited time.
Please follow the following steps if you use the Syberian Cat Fur asset:
1. Drag and drop it in your scene from the Blender Universe library.
2. Move the collection to the world origin.
3. Go to object - apply - make instances real.
4. You’ll now be able to see the different fur systems and the geometry nodes that shape them.
Cheers,
Nino
